This blog is documentation of the landscape of La Prairie des Femmes, Louisiana, an unincorporated community in south Louisiana.

of Louisiana, collected theories and documentation of the origins of the
place name Prairie des Femmes, pictures of Mary statues of Acadiana and beyond, herbal remedies, original writing and French music, homages to the triangle or t-fer, French
memes and ecards, clips from La Tasse de Cafe Radio Program out of
Ville Platte, La., as well as other information on my experience as a
young person with a real, living Louisiana Francophone culture. I am a
mother, wife, Evangeline Parish native and resident of la Prairie des
Femmes, Louisiana.
